In May 2022 we took over the running of Banff Business Centre  and got on with the task of bringing the building back to its former glory as a category A listed building. Our sympathetic refurbishment will enhance and protect the period features of this beautiful building while, at the same time, bringing it into 21st Century as a modern business hub.

Watch our progress here.

Remedial work to the exterior and gardens

Over the next month or so the gardens at the back of the property will be prepared for autumn and winter. As well as maintaining the lawn and flowerbeds we will look to add more plants over the coming months as well as outdoor seating.

The biggest task this year will be the removal of the ivy from the gable end but not until the nesting birds leave in September/October.

Refurbishment of foyer and stairs

We are very please with the re-decoration and new carpets throughout the common areas of the building. This has transformed the look and feel of the Centre to a welcoming space for our tenants and their clients.

A modern kitchen for a modern workforce

A new microwave and kettle and a cupboard restocked with (matching) crockery and glasses provides for our tenants mealtimes.

We are also planning to install a coffee bar on the ground floor for easier access.

Lower floor investment

Our commitment was to make the Garden Floor feel as much a part of the Centre as the Ground and First Floors. When we took over the building  it felt uncared for with different decor and carpets and a lack of furniture.

Now the carpet flows from the top of the building to the bottom and the decor matches throughout. Our tenants' clients also have seating while waiting for their appointment.

Reducing our carbon footprint

As well as the installation of a more efficient central heating boiler we are investing in new individual water heaters in each of the toilets, producing on-demand hot water.

We have embarked on a programme of replacing all the lights in the common areas of the building and the external lights with sensor-controlled lights to minimise energy waste.

We are committed to continuing to look at ways of saving energy and reducing our carbon footprint more generally.
